Thankfulness on Thursday

I am joining other bloggers who devote space on their site each Thursday to gratefully acknowledge the Lord’s providences and blessings of the past week. Today I thank the Lord for…

Relief (finally!) from a weeklong migraine. At one point I wanted to die. Not really. Ok, maybe. But today I feel good and I am thankful.

Friends who I can talk to in the throes of a migraine death wish and they can tell by the sound of my voice that something is wrong

Netflix, specifically Inspector Lewis and MI-5 , both enjoyable diversions when one is incapacitated by a migraine

My husband and boys who spoil me on Mother’s Day and every day. They are good to me.

Sunshine and gorgeous weather well suited to enjoying my porch

The end of another school year. My boys are growing up, fast, and I am so proud of them.

Texts from friends that go something like “I just read this about grace and it rocked my world and I wanted to share it with you.”

Conversations with friends that go something like “I’m just not sure about how the gospel relates to this. What do you think?”

Doughnuts for breakfast

What are you thankful for today?

I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart;
 I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
 I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
~ Psalm 9:1-2
