Thankfulness on Thursday

I am joining other bloggers who devote space on their site each Thursday to gratefully acknowledge the Lord’s providences and blessings of the past week. Today I thank the Lord for…

Cadbury mini eggs. Tis the season, yes and amen.

The close of twenty weeks of seeing Jesus in the Old Testament. No doubt I’ll have more to say in an upcoming post but I will say this much: this has been the most challenging Bible study series I’ve taught. And so, so good. I’m grateful both for the many things we learned as well as for the women who joined me for the journey.

The church that hosts our Bible study group on Tuesday mornings and their financial investment so that a nursery can be provided for the young moms who attend. I appreciate their generous hospitality!

Friends who called and stopped by to check on me after a rather fierce storm blew through our area on Monday. We had no damage, thankfully, but my husband was out of town so I was all the more grateful for their thoughtfulness.

My technologically smart friend who fixed my blog’s broken redirect. Yay for friends who understand DNS and code and html and other such jargon that makes no sense to me! Thanks to his efforts, all my readers have now (hopefully) found me at my new site (anyone? anyone?).

Spring break this coming week

My church girlfriends and our once-a-month evening of fun, food, and fellowship

My men–my husband and sons. I am so very blessed. They are so very good to me. I love them. I thank God for them.

Easter and the death and resurrection of my Lord Jesus. He died so I might live, glory to His name!

What are you thankful for today?

I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart;
 I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
 I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
~ Psalm 9:1-2

  1. These posts of yours always fill my heart with gratitude, Lisa. Thanks for setting the example.
    On another note, were you the one that posted that picture of dark chocolate Cadbury Mini Eggs that have been the start to my demise?! I am a Cadbury lovah (have you had the Flake?). So, I’m also thankful that I only have like another week of this torture!

  2. Cadbury eggs, and Spring Break and technology minded friends, yes! And the fact that the only reason any of these have meaning is because of our creator and risen Savior, Jesus!

    And speaking of Spring Break, I am thankful that our daughter is coming home from school for a short visit as she’s between quarters now. Woo-hoo!
