Thankfulness on Thursday

I am joining other bloggers who devote space on their site each Thursday to gratefully acknowledge the Lord’s providences and blessings of the past week. Today I thank the Lord for…

My church
The gospel that is the power of God for salvation
My boys coming home after a fun retreat
My church girlfriends and the fellowship and fun we enjoy as sisters and as friends
Young women of my acquaintance (real and virtual) who strive after the deep things of the Lord and whose depth of theological understanding amazes and encourages me
A day of shopping which is usually not so very fun but this trip proved to be the exception. I enjoyed myself very much!
New charms on my charm bracelet, both being gifts marking important memories and thus all the more special
New shoes (is that frivolous?)
My husband and our 21 year anniversary tomorrow. Twenty one!?!! How good the Lord has been to us! I am so very thankful and so very blessed. I love him so much–more so with each passing year–and I thank the Lord for him daily!
What are you thankful for today?

I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart;
 I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
 I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
~ Psalm 9:1-2

  1. Congratulations on your twenty-first anniversary, Lisa. May God glorify Himself by giving you many more years together in which to love each other and honor Him!
