Sitting…at my dining room table.
Drinking…water. Yes, really. I don’t know what’s wrong with me! 🙂
Recovering…from our fabulous, wonderful, way-fun trip to New York! My husband had a class in Newark so we took advantage of a friend’s offer of his Manhattan apartment and spent five days in the Big Apple. We had a great time. Highlights: Wicked (fantastic!), Central Park (gorgeous!), Top of the Rock (what a view!), 9/11 Memorial (moving and sad), the Brooklyn Bridge (great view of the city). Maybe I will give a synopsis in a future post.
Wondering…how many of you chuckled at my mention of a future post (oh really? like, when?).
Seeing…with new eyes today, thanks to a new pair of glasses. I have great hopes of much improved vision. At the moment, however, I am adjusting to the different orientation “progressive” lenses offer. (And, yes, progressive = bifocal. I am officially old.)
Wrapping…up Bible study on Thursday. It’s been a great ten weeks spent in the pages of 1 & 2 Thessalonians. We’ve had some really interesting discussions and wrestled with some difficult texts. How I pray that the things revealed will be ours forever and that we will be shaped and changed by the living word!
Thinking…about the gospel and what gospel boldness might look like in my life. Is it strange that I don’t really know?
Reading…nothing at the moment. I guess you could say I’m between books! Besides, it’s May (May-hem as my friend Linda refers to this month), I have a graduating senior–who has time to read? I did recently finish Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons and it’s wonderful! Highly recommended!
Mailing…graduation announcements today. Is that crazy or what? The answer is yes, it is. Crazy. And surreal. And exciting. And happy. And sad. And hundreds of other emotions.
Grateful…for friends and family and acquaintances who share our joy and our pride and our excitement!
Happy May, friends! May we rejoice in the Lord’s goodnesses to us!
