Watch this: Y’all know I’m reading Radical Womanhood by Carolyn McCulley and loving it. Carolyn’s got a four minute video overview of feminism posted here. Go watch it; I think you’ll be as intrigued as I am about having a feminine faith in a feminist world.

Read this: The True Woman conference is going on this weekend in Chicago. Tim Challies is there liveblogging the event. If you’re like me and couldn’t be there, his recaps are worth reading (as are the comments that are interspersed, not to mention his occasional reference to things you only find at a conference of women…)

Ponder this: “Even if our security is in something God has given us–our gifts, talents, loved ones, church family, consistent victory, passion for His Word–our seemingly secure mountain ultimately will fall into the sea. We can grow secure in the favor God has shown us, but God’s favor and His person are not synonymous. If our trust is in manifestations of God’s favor rather than God Himself, we will crumble like dry clay when He calls us to walk a distance of our journeys entirely by faith and not by sight.” (Stepping Up by Beth Moore)

I can testify to this: “Every change, no matter how good, involves loss.” (from Lydia Brownback’s devotional, Contentment)

  1. Back again from Lysa TerKeurst’s blog. I’m intrigued . . . are you in the Chicago area? I am too. You mentioned the women’s conference–I know some people who went to it this past weekend. And Lydia Brownback–she speaks to the high school girls at our church all the time. Hmmmm.

  2. Thanks for the links. I just bought Radical Womanhood yesterday and am looking forward to it. It’s up after Worldliness.
