Sitting…at my dining room table.
Worn out…from Bible study this morning. Does teaching exhaust anyone else? I wonder how real teachers do it all day long, you know, teachers who get paid by schools and colleges. Me, I always need a nap. Or, at the very least, multiple cups of coffee. Sometimes all of the above.
Wondering…if I can drum out a post in the thirty minutes I have before car line. Not that status reporting counts as a post so much but you’d be surprised just how obsessive my inner editor can be.
Enjoying…the beautiful sunshine after the last few days of gray dreariness. I think there is rain forecasted for the evening, and just in time for my son’s soccer game, but of course.
Wrapping up…not just my sons’ soccer season with only three games left to go but also my tenure as a soccer mom. I can’t believe that part of my life will be over. Basketball too. What a run. Crazy.
Disbelieving…my son will be graduating in a few short weeks and leaving home in August. How did he get so grown up? I’m so proud of him. I will miss him so much.
Looking up…“disbelieve” to see if it is a verb. It is.
Loving…dictionary.com. Almost as much as thesaurus.com.
Thankful…for my husband and my sons and the joy of our life together. They are so good to me, blessings wholly unmerited from the Giver of all good things.
Anticipating…The Gospel Coalition’s Women’s Conference in June. So much good teaching to hear and heed! So many virtual friends to meet and greet! I’m excited! Will any of you be there?
Reading…a fiction title that I can’t decide if I like or not. I’m thinking not. But I have the latest Flavia de Luce novel by Alan Bradley waiting in the wings which I am sure that I will enjoy! I’ve also started reading Jared Wilson’s The Storytelling God. Good stuff.
Praying…for my friend with cancer and for her husband and boys. And for others also struggling under heavy burdens and heartbreaking grief. May the Lord show Himself strong and faithful; may He grant mercy and grace.
Writing…this in twenty two minutes flat.
Happy April, friends!
